About the Journal

Science for Energy and Environment (SEE) is a gold open-access journal and aims to publish topics in green energy and the environment, with a shared focus on materials and catalysis research that drives the fundamental understanding and development in energy and the environment.

Aims & Scope

Science for Energy and Environment (SEE) is broad in scope, welcoming original, novel fundamental research. SEE recognizes the complexity and challenges relating to energy conversion, storage, and environmental science. For work to be published, it must be linked to the energy-environment nexus and be of significant general interest to our community-spanning readership. All scales of work covering all forms of energy and environment, spanning from impactful fundamental advances to interdisciplinary research across the chemical, physical sciences, and chemical engineering disciplines, are welcomed.

SEE publishes articles that focus on, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  1. Hydrogen generation
  2. Carbon dioxide conversion
  3. Biofuel and bioenergy
  4. Hydrogen peroxide production
  5. Photocatalytic and electrocatalytic synthesis
  6. Water treatment
  7. Gaspurification
  8. Antibacterial and resistance genes
  9. Materials for energy and environment
  10. Catalysis for energy and environment
